Home raised kittens for the family

Alicoons Maine Coons

“I had been told that the training of cats was difficult. It’s not. Mine had me trained in two days.” – Bill Dana

About the cattery

Alicoons is a small cattery located in northeast Florida near St. Augustine, established 2005. All of our cats have free run of the house, they are never caged. Kittens are raised in a separate room, designed as a kitten nursery, until they reach the age of 8 weeks. At 8 weeks of age, they are gradually introduced to the whole house for socialization.

Kittens are eligible for adoption starting at 12 weeks of age. We do not keep a waiting list, but kitten reservations can be placed well in advance.

Maine Coons have been a part of our home since 1993 when we adopted two siblings from a breeder in Augusta, Maine. Our goal is to provide other pet owners with the same joy we have had for the last 27 years.

Our cats are shown in the Cat Fanciers Association (CFA) from the time they reach 4 months of age through adulthood. Showing cats allows us to compare them against the Maine Coon Breed Standard and develop relationships with other breeders.
